It’s Okay To Struggle

You may feel disconnected from yourself, from others, from life itself.
Like you're watching from the outside, as everything rushes past you or stands completely still.
Grey. Heavy. Lifeless.

Everything may feel too much, or not enough, all at once.
You do what you can to keep up, but it just feels like you’re falling further behind.
People talk, laugh, reach out… but it all feels far away.

We don’t want to be a burden.
We don’t want to be seen as struggling.
So we hold it together — we function.
But the more we push through, the more alone we feel.

It can feel impossible to get out of it.
But know this: you are not alone.

According to the World Health Organization, about 1 in 8 people worldwide — nearly 1 billion individuals — live with a mental health condition.
In Europe, around one in four adults experiences a mental health disorder each year.

Every year, psychologists, researchers, and therapists are working tirelessly to better understand these struggles — to refine treatments, improve care, and offer new ways forward.

That’s why I do this work.
To offer support that’s not only compassionate, but grounded in what actually helps.
To meet you where you are — and walk with you from there.

When Professional Support Can Help

People seek psychological support for many different reasons.
Some come with specific symptoms — anxiety, low mood, compulsive behaviours, chronic stress, addictive patterns, or psychosomatic complaints.
Others describe a more general sense of feeling stuck, disconnected, or emotionally overwhelmed.

You may be hesitant about seeking professional support.
You might wonder if you really need it. If you’re overreacting.
If seeking help means something is wrong with you.
Or if being kinder to yourself might somehow make you weaker.

These thoughts are more common than you think and they’re not a problem to be fixed. They’re part of the process.

Your first session is free, so you have space to explore whether this feels right — without pressure or obligation.

Whatever brings you here matters and it deserves attention.

Together, we take the time to understand how your current challenges affect your daily life, your relationships, and your emotional wellbeing.

Our work isn’t about just reducing symptoms.
It’s about gaining clarity, staying present with difficult emotions, and meeting yourself with greater steadiness, curiosity, and care — even in the midst of struggle.

Throughout, it’s important to me that our work is a transparent, collaborative process.
It’s not something done to you, but something we actively shape together — at your pace, in your language — with the goal of helping you understand yourself more fully and move through life with more clarity, connection, and confidence.

Your Individual Consultation Process

Building Trust
Research consistently shows that the the relationship between patient and consultant is the most important factor in achieving positive outcomes — even more so than the specific methods used. That’s why this part of the process is especially important to me. I want you to feel safe, seen, and comfortable working with me. If it doesn’t feel like the right fit, that’s completely okay — the relationship has to feel right for you. To give you space to decide that, our first session is free.

Individual Problem Formulation
We explore your experiences, symptoms, and emotional patterns within the context of your life — including your relationships, personal history, and values. This helps us make sense of why certain difficulties may have developed and how they are maintained. Together, we build a shared understanding of what’s going on beneath the surface.

Personalised Goal Setting
Based on our shared understanding, we clarify your consultation goals — what you want to feel, understand, or change. These goals guide our work and ensure that we stay focused on what matters most to you. The process is flexible and evolves as your needs develop.

Personalised Treatment
We use evidence-based strategies that are carefully chosen to match your individual experience and goals. Whether we’re building coping skills, processing emotions, or addressing deeper patterns, our work is always collaborative and adapted to support you in a way that feels meaningful and effective.

Integrating Change
As we progress, we focus on helping you apply what you’re learning to everyday situations — whether in relationships, at work, or in your inner dialogue. This phase supports long-lasting change by making sure new insights and strategies are useful beyond our sessions.

Supporting Long-term Wellbeing
Toward the end of our work, we look ahead. Together, we strengthen your ability to recognize early signs of distress, reinforce the tools you’ve developed, and create a plan for staying well. The goal is to leave our sessions feeling equipped, confident, and supported in your ongoing growth.

Confidentiality

Everything you share in our sessions is treated with strict confidentiality.
As a mental health professional, I am bound by professional ethical and legal guidelines to protect your privacy.
Your trust and safety are my highest priority.

Quality

To ensure the quality and integrity of my work, I regularly take part in peer consultations.
When I discuss cases, I do so anonymously and with great care, in line with confidentiality standards.
This helps me stay reflective, grounded, and committed to offering the best possible support.
